Professor
of Economics Ph.D., University of Virginia, 1971 Dr. Ryan C. Amacher came to The University of Texas at Arlington in 1992 as an administrator. He served as President of the University for three years. He has been a Professor in the Department of Economics and Public Affairs since 1992. Before his tenure at UTA, Dr. Amacher served administratively as Dean of the College of Commerce and Industry at Clemson University from 1981 through 1992. He chaired the Department of Economics at Arizona State University from 1977-1981. For one year in 1974, Dr. Amacher was Senior International Economist at the United States Treasury. Dr. Amacher's fields of interest include International Economics, Public Finance and Price Theory. He has taught classes in undergraduate Principles of Macro- and Microeconomics and graduate Managerial Economics.
